Rob has been directing now for over 15 years. With a background in fast turnaround childrens and entertainment programming he developed finely honed skills in creative single and multi camera communication and storytelling and learnt the mantra CONTENT IS KING!

Since moving to Auckland (and spending a couple of years sidetracked into co-hosting breakfast radio) he has moved into directing TV commercials to hone the art and science of directing for 16mm and 35mm film and telling the 30 second story. The ACME Film Company is Rob's own and can produce or line produce for you should the need arise. Rob has vast experience in directing talent with great gusto and with a bent towards the humourous and mad side of life. He is available for multi camera and single cam gigs.. film and video... broadcast and non-broadcast. He has an award for Best Director for Television sitting above his fireplace and in 2002 was a finalist in the Lifestyle section of the Qantas Media Awards NZ for his role of director on Pacific Harvest - a 1 hour food and travel documentary made for the UK market with the renowned ex-pat chef Peter Gordon.

In 2002 he also produced and directed "LIVE AT COAST" MTV unplugged style music shows specifically for Juice TV New Zealand's only fulltime music channel www.juicetv.com These were funded by NZ On Air.
