At the moment we have lettuces and chilli plants all ready to go. I also built, with my own two hands, borrowed tools, and wood I stole from under the house, a small herb garden. This has been planted, as perhaps one would expect, with herbs. The road to self sufficiency has begun. I'm not sure a root celler containing some mouldy apples and an equally mouldy old hippy is something we would consider in the future.
